Strategic player in sustainable mobility

Over the years, Q-Park has evolved from a traditional parking operator into a strategic Sustainable Mobility Partner for cities and municipalities. One of Charly PR’s primary objectives is to increase international visibility for Q-Park’s new positioning among key stakeholders, including local authorities, city planners, and property developers.

The Charly PR mobility team will achieve this by providing strategic advice, training, and a comprehensive communication toolbox tailored for the seven countries in which Q-Park operates.

“More and more local authorities are involving us early on as a true mobility partner in their urban planning,” says Sacha Oerlemans, Sustainability, Communications & Brand Manager at Q-Park Corporate. “This is a wonderful recognition of our philosophy: both the moving car and the stationary car are determining factors for any mobility plan. We work with authorities at a strategic level to implement underground and multi-layered parking solutions and everything that comes with them. To expand the operational reach of our SMP positioning, we've engaged a fresh, external perspective from a specialized PR agency.”

Capturing Rich Complexity Across Europe

The collaboration between Charly PR and Q-Park began with a strategic kick-off session including Q-Park Corporate HQ and marketing/communication managers from Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and Denmark.

“All these countries have many similarities, but also unique differences,” says Sacha Oerlemans. “Charly PR excellently captured the essence of that rich complexity and translated it into a clear analysis with valuable advice. This confirmed our choice for them, and we are now developing that foundation together.”

Karolien Hessels, Managing Director of Charly PR Belgium, adds: “We are proud to advise and support this leading mobility player at an international corporate level. During the kick-off, we experienced Q-Park as an enthusiastic and driven team with a wealth of experience. Next steps are already underway: we provided PR and thought leadership training to all local marcom managers and are developing an extensive toolbox, including a message house and content templates, to enable each Q-Park country to independently communicate its SMP positioning in a local context.”

Local PR Support in Belgium and the Netherlands

Q-Park Belgium and Q-Park Netherlands have also appointed Charly PR as their local PR agency for national public relations.
